PSI Niagara Becomes Official Audio-visual & Show Supplier of the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games

The boutique audio-visual company from Niagara will contribute to the execution of marquee events both before and during the 2021 Games, including the event’s Opening and Closing Ceremonies

March 26, 2020 (Niagara, ON) – The 2021 Canada Games Host Society is excited to announce that Production Service Industries Niagara will become the official audio-visual and show supplier of the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games. This partnership will see PSI Niagara provide audio, lighting packages, LED screens, drapery, staging, and more to many events across the Niagara Region in the lead up to and during the 28th edition of the Canada Games — which are set to take place from August 6th to 21st, 2021.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have a partner like PSI Niagara help us deliver an unforgettable experience to all our spectators and participants from across the country,” said Steven Katzman, the Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer of the 2021 Canada Games Host Society. “Given that the 2021 Canada Summer Games will be one of the biggest celebrations Niagara has ever seen, we felt it was important for us to bring in a local supplier, like PSI Niagara, who has plenty of event experience on this scale, and will maximize this incredible opportunity we have before us to showcase the Niagara Region.”

With offices in both St. Catharines and Mississauga, PSI has an extensive history of delivering high-level productions at events across Ontario. Examples of their work include the creation of a large-scale concert production at the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival, assisting with the execution of an outdoor concert for the Tragically Hip at Blue Mountain Village in Collingwood, and organizing an Olympic-style production for the Opening Ceremonies of the 2016 Canada 55+ Games in Brampton.

“We have a team of world-class technicians, and I’m really excited to see them deploy their skills and expertise at all the events that make up the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games,” said Steven Vian, President of PSI. “The 2021 Games will embody the competitive spirit of the community and feature performances that will be nothing short of inspiring. We look forward to using our expertise to build off that as a means to enhance the fan experience and help promote what Niagara has to offer to a national audience.”

PSI Niagara will play a role in meeting the audio-visual needs of Niagara 2021’s Opening Ceremonies at Meridian Centre and its Closing Ceremonies at Queen Victoria Park. They will also contribute to the 13 for 13 cultural festival that will be taking place across the Niagara Region — which will see each of Niagara’s 13 municipalities host a cultural event specific to each Canadian province and territory during the 2021 Canada Summer Games.
