Reporting to the Coordinator, Community Relations, Mascot Performer Volunteers are passionate, energetic individuals that will engage and energize a wide variety of audiences while promoting the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games. In cooperation with a team of staff and other volunteers, Mascot Performers will ensure a regional presence with the primary responsibility of fulfilling appearance requests from community groups, and participate in parades and other social activities throughout the Niagara Region. It is anticipated that the majority of these requests will be for evenings and weekends.

Mascot Performer Volunteers will be more athletic in nature than those required for the Mascot Public Relations Volunteer Program as they may be required to complete basic sport moves (shoot a basketball, hit a baseball, etc.). An appearance fee may be determined.

Mascot Performer Volunteers are required from November 2019 through to Games-time August 6-21, 2021. For continuity of the Mascot’s character, it is our hope that Mascot Performer Volunteers will commit to the full time period.
